ORCA 280 · THE SPORTIVE INFLATABLE SAILBOAT

Orca 280

The boat in the boot.

The smallest Orca, and the most-sold. The 280 fits four on day-sails, three with the rig up. It packs to roughly the size of two large duffel bags — and yes, it fits in the trunk of a hatchback.

Common questions

Before you order

  • How long does setup take?

First time: about 30 minutes including reading the manual. Once you've done it twice: 10–12 minutes from bags-on-shore to mast-up.

  • Can I sail it solo?

Yes — three of our four distributors do solo demos. The kick-up rudder and self-bailing transom are designed for single-handed work.

  • Will it fit in my car?

The packed boat is 100 × 54 × 32 cm. It fits in the trunk of a Golf or Civic with the rear seats up. With a caravan or motorhome, both bags travel comfortably in a roof box.

  • What happens if I puncture a tube?

Each Orca has three independent tube chambers. You can sail back on two. The repair kit handles a typical puncture in 15 minutes — patch, wait, re-inflate.

  • Is the warranty international?

Two years inside the EU, one year worldwide, on manufacturing defects. Claims go through info@dinghygo.com; we ship replacement parts from Lemmer.

  • Can I add a motor?

Up to 4.5 kW / 6 hp. The transom is reinforced for that load.

  • Is the sail-kit (rig) upgrade-able?

The standard mainsail is included. A reefing-line kit is sold separately if you want to sail in higher winds.

  • How does shipping work?

Two parcels, palletised. EU-wide ~€100. Non-EU: please buy through your local distributor — they handle import VAT.

  • Warranty

    2 years EU · 1 year worldwide

  • Certification

    ISO 6185-1

  • Origin

    Designed in Lemmer, Netherlands
