About Aquacrafts

Inflatable sailboats — made for people who already know boats.

We've been building inflatable sailboats in the Netherlands since 1996. The DinghyGo Orca line — three models, one design language — is the current generation.

Why we still make inflatable sailboats

Aquacrafts B.V. started in 1996 in Lemmer, in the Frisian lakes region of the Netherlands. The brief was simple: design a sailing dinghy that fits in the trunk of a normal car, sets up in under fifteen minutes, and sails well enough that a serious sailor would actually choose it over a rigid tender.

Three decades later, that brief still holds. The Orca line is the result — three sizes (280, 325, 375), the same construction, the same emphasis on real sail-handling rather than gimmicks. Every hull goes through the same Lemmer assembly and quality checks.

We don't have a big marketing budget. We have happy owners — sailing on the IJsselmeer, the Adriatic, the Solent, and the Friesian canals — who tell their friends. Most of our growth has come from that.

What goes into a hull

Hulls are constructed from heat-welded reinforced fabric with internal drop-stitch floors. Tube pressure is high (0.25 bar) so the boat sails like a rigid hull — no soft side flex. Every seam is pull-tested. Every boat is inflated, sailed, and signed off by a person, not a robot.

What ISO 6185-1 actually means

ISO 6185-1 is the international standard for inflatable sailboats with a maximum motor power up to 4.5 kW. It covers tube pressure retention over time, fabric tear strength, seam adhesion, and behaviour under load and wave impact. Every Orca passes.

Our warranty: two years inside the EU, one year worldwide, on manufacturing defects (tubes, seams, sail-kit (rig)). The EU number reflects the EU consumer-rights regime; outside the EU we keep one year as the baseline. Parts stocked in Lemmer; replacement claims handled directly by us, not by a third-party distributor (though distributors can help with the paperwork).

The DinghyGo Orca mascot — a friendly anthropomorphized inflatable sailboat with a cream sail, big expressive eyes, and one arm raised in a confident pointing pose

Meet DinghyGo

The mascot is the product.

No human spokesperson, no abstract logo-creature — the DinghyGo mascot is the Orca boat itself, anthropomorphized. Glossy black inflatable hull, cream-white sail rising as a body, big expressive eyes, white-gloved cartoon hands, ready for the water.

You'll see him pointing the way on the home page, waving from a packed bag on your order confirmation, and floating in the corner of every page ready to answer questions.
